What Is Masport Botox?

Masport Botox is an aesthetic procedure that aims to reduce facial wrinkles through muscle relaxing injections. In this procedure, products containing botulinum toxin are used to temporarily relax facial expression muscles. Similar ingredients to Botox, one of the best known examples, are preferred. The treatment helps reduce the appearance of forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines. Its effect usually begins within a few days and continues for a certain period.

Is Masport Botox Legal in Turkey?

Masport Botox is not legal in Turkey and is not among the approved products for use.

In Turkey, only products licensed by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency may be used in aesthetic procedures. In this context, approved botulinum toxins such as Botox are preferred. Since the product known as Masport does not have official approval, its use is considered risky.

Why Is Licensing So Important in Botox Products?

Botulinum toxin is a powerful biological product that temporarily reduces muscle movement. After application, muscle activity in areas such as forehead lines, frown lines, around the eyes, or the masseter region may weaken. When this effect is controlled, the desired aesthetic result can be achieved. However, uncontrolled dosage, incorrect dilution, or unsafe product use may cause unwanted muscle weakness, asymmetry, eyelid drooping, difficulty swallowing, and general health problems.

Licensed products have clearer production standards, content control, safety data, storage conditions, and tracking systems. In Turkey, medicine packaging includes mechanisms such as QR codes and the Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System.

The Difference Between Masport and Classic Botox Brands

The main difference between Masport and classic Botox brands is legal use and reliable supply in Turkey. Well known Botox brands have been used for many years in aesthetic and medical procedures. Dose planning, duration of effect, side effect profile, and clinical experience are more established with these products.

Masport, on the other hand, is mostly discussed in Turkey as an alternative and low cost product. However, in Botox applications, asking only “Does it work?” is not enough. Questions such as “Is this product legal?”, “Is it original?”, “Where did it come from?”, “Was it stored under proper conditions?”, and “Is the person applying it a physician?” are more important.

In addition, different botulinum toxin brands are not exactly identical to one another. Each product may differ in unit structure, dilution method, diffusion characteristics, and dose equivalence. Therefore, the dose used for one brand cannot be directly converted to another brand. If inexperienced or unauthorized people cannot manage these differences properly, the result may not look natural.

Why Can Cheap Botox Be Risky?

Price differences in Botox procedures are normal. The city, clinic, physician experience, product used, and treatment area all affect the price. However, caution is necessary when Botox procedures are offered far below the market average. Very low prices may sometimes indicate unlicensed products, excessive dilution, low dose application, or unauthorized procedures.

One of the most common problems with cheap Botox is that the effect lasts for a short time. The patient may think they had the procedure done, but the effect may disappear within a few weeks. This may be due to low dosage, incorrect application, or product quality issues. Another risk is asymmetry. One eyebrow may lift too much, the eyelid may droop, the smile line may be distorted, or the face may develop a frozen expression.

More serious risks may include allergic reactions, infection, widespread muscle weakness, or difficulty swallowing. Although such conditions are rare, they remind us that Botox is a medical procedure. Therefore, choosing Masport or similar products with unclear licensing status only because they are cheap is not appropriate.
